Brooke and Kelvin met August of 2012 in Prince George’s County Maryland. Brooke was preparing for a wedding when she walked in a store and encountered Kelvin. After some small talk they exchanged numbers and they have been inseparable ever since. In March of 2014 they welcomed a baby girl and named her Taylor Monae aka “Chipmunk”. Taylor is the youngest of Brooke’s 3 children and the only child of Kelvin although he is more than a father to all 3 girls. Jo’Moni, once stated she has never seen Kelvin as her step father, he is my SECOND FATHER! The couple have a beautifully blended family of 3 daughters, Raquel, Jo’Moni and Taylor and 2 grandchildren Rahiim and Rayn’e, who affectionately refer to Kelvin as Pa-Pa. The couple have experienced many of life’s milestones together, graduations, the birth of their grandchildren, promotions and publishing books. The couple are well regarded for their philanthropy with their children’s schools and different athletic endeavors.


“He is my rock, the calm to my storm” the bride says. People always ask me how we ended up together when I’m so loud and he is so quiet and reserved? And the truth is, he balances me out. I can be quiet and reserved with him. I’m allowed to be soft and calm. He knows I’m a crybaby. He covers me in protection naturally so I know that I am safe, and I don’t have to be loud and opinionated to be heard. His presence commands respect so I never have to worry when I’m with him…..since August of 2012.

This is a love I am proud to share, and the world should know shes had my heart since day one.
